Dr. Justina Eguavoen, OD - Fort McMurray
Dr. Justina Eguavoen graduated with a Doctor of Optometry degree in 2012. She completed an externship in ocular disease and therapeutics in Brantford, Ontario. Dr. Justina has volunteered abroad with international eye care organizations to provide care to underserved areas.
She practices full-scope optometry and is committed to providing excellent eye care, serving patients of all ages. Her professional interests include sports and performance vision. She is a member in good standing with the Alberta Association of Optometrists. She is currently accepting all new and returning patients.
Outside of work, Dr. Justina enjoys travelling, reading and spending time with family.
Dr. Prapti Patel - Fort McMurray
Dr. Patel has been in the field of Optometry for about 11 years now managing a wide variety of patients. She did Optometry first from India and after several years of practice she moved to Canada with her family in 2016.
Dr. Patel became a licensed optometrist in Canada in 2021, after completing her IOBP from the University of Waterloo. She moved to Fort Mcmurray to be closer to her parents and serve the northern communities.
Dr. Patel had her fellowship done in Pediatric Optometry and likes to see the pediatric population along with managing all other age groups with various conditions including Cataracts, Glaucoma, Macular Degeneration and Dry Eyes.
Dr. Val Camp - Leduc and Drayton Valley
Dr. Camp was born and raised in Idaho and moved to Alberta after completing his Bachelor of Science degree at Pacific University and Doctor of Optometry degree at Pacific University College of Optometry in Oregon. Dr. Camp practiced for several years with a group of doctors in Calgary and Edmonton and then purchased his own practice in Sherwood Park in 1999. He recently sold this practice and has joined The Eye Centre in Leduc and Drayton Valley.
Dr. Camp has experience in all aspects of optometry including the treatment of eye infections and management of eye disease including cataracts, glaucoma, and macular degeneration. He has experience and enjoys fitting patients with contact lenses.
Dr. Camp has volunteered for third world sight missions to Tanzania in Africa and Guayaquil Ecuador in South America. He has also worked as an adult coach with a group of youth building houses for hurricane victims in Tonga.
Dr. Andrew Sondershausen - Prince Albert
Dr. Sondershausen was born and raised in Saskatoon. He attended the University of Saskatchewan, where he completed his prerequisite courses in Physiology and Pharmacology. He then went on to attend the University of Waterloo, where he received his Doctor of Optometry, graduating with honours.
Dr. Sondershausen is passionate about delivering quality care with a personalized experience for each patient. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with friends and family, playing guitar, and being outdoors.
Dr. Sondershausen is excited to join The Eye Centre team and to provide care to Prince Albert and neighbouring communities.
